ABOUT ME
DJ Beal is an experienced journalist with print, digital, and broadcast experience. He worked for the Highland Cavalier at the University of Virginia's College at Wise during his senior year in 2016. During this time, he was able to write about sports, education, and lifestyle to bring a unique spin to the student newspaper. This started his journey into covering national sports with his Super Bowl Preview.
Beal currently works for a wrestling publication called Daily DDT. This professional wrestling based website is within the sports site, FanSided. While he has been writing for Daily DDT, he has been able to hone a variety of skills such as importing pictures and embeding tweets to his articles to help draw the readers attention. He has accumulated thousands of views on the website in his short time writing for the site.
DJ's broadcast experience strings from his time at BTW 21 during a summer internship in 2015. As a news reporter for BTW, DJ was able to develop interviewing skills while adding to his voice over delievery. The time spent at BTW also allowed DJ to become familiar would a studio camera and the backstage production of daily shows. He also edited together his clips from the story for the regular newscast.
Lastly, with all the experiences that Beal has compiled in the field, he also has done impressive work at home. He has a YouTube channel that he uses to bring his skills together. As the co-host of the Instant Classic Wrestling Podcast, he has been able to intereview wrestling stars, produce his own live podcast, and edit introductions that show the uniqueness of his channel.
